Each year, the Washington Society hosts two literary competitions which are open to members, provisional members, and non-members. The winner receives a formal certificate and a cash prize. The Washington Society’s Reporter is in charge of organizing the competition, so please contact them with any questions.
The Non-Original Literary Competition is held each fall.
The Original Literary Competition is held each spring. The spring 2014 winners were Lorey-Eileen Geary for her two poems, “Drowning Eyes” and Two Junes Ago,” and Aimee Lacasse for her short story, “Carnival Fish.”
For more information on these competitions, please contact the current Reporter, Maura Carey, by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org.
