Driving Directions to the Central Grounds Parking Garage.

From the Northeast: From the Beltway around Washington, D.C., take I-66 West to second Rt. 29 exit (at Gainesville). Go south on Rt. 29 until you reach Charlottesville. Go under the 250 Bypass, pass Barracks Road Shopping on your right. Continue on Route 29 through the light at intersection of Route 29 and Ivy road. You will then see the UVA tennis courts on your left. The Central Grounds Parking lot is about 200 yards past the tennis courts on your left.

From the South: Take I-64 West from I-95 in Richmond, or come up by Rt. 29 North from Greensboro, NC. Either way, take Rt. 29 North to the Leonard Sandridge Rd. exit. Stay strait on Leonard Sandridge Rd until it runs into a light at Emmet St. Take a right on Emmet street. Continue on Emmet through the light at intersection of Route 29 and Ivy road. You will then see the UVA tennis courts on your left. The Central Grounds Parking lot is about 200 yards past the tennis courts on your left.

From the West via I-64:

Take I-64 East to Exit 118B. Once you exit on 118B take the very first exit on your right, towards the Fontaine Research Park. Make a right on to Fontaine Ave., which will become Jefferson Park Ave. Stay strait on Jefferson Park Ave. until you come to a fork and a stoplight where you can no longer go strait (do not make the gradual right turn just before the light). Take a left at the light on to Emmet Street.  Stay on Emmet for about a quarter mile. You will go under two walking bridges, look for the Central Grounds Parking Garage on your right after the second bridge. If you pass the tennis courts on your right then you have gone too far.
