Accommodations and Food


We have reserved blocks of rooms at two hotels near UVA’s Central Grounds, as well as at Darden School of Business (the conference location). The blocks will be released on June 17, 2013. We strongly recommend that you book hotel rooms well in advance.

Inn at DardenHotel Rooms at Conference Site
Rate: $145/night
To make reservations, please call 434-243-5000 and say you are with are with the PolyMeth Annual Summer Meeting. Please note that there are limited number (40) of rooms available at the conference site. Parking is included.

The Courtyard Marriott at the University Medical Center
Rates: $159/night Deadline to reserve rooms at group rate extended to June 24
To make reservations online, please go to the booking code PMXPMXA for king bedded rooms or PMXPMXB for double/double bedded rooms when making online reservations. Parking is included.

Red Roof Inn Charlottesville
Rate: $129.99/night (double), $139.99 (king)
Reservations can be made by calling 1-800-733-7663 and using the code “B2462013SPM” to receive the conference rate. Parking is included.

Dormitory Rooms

Dorm rooms are in Brown College on Central Grounds. Dorms are air-conditioned and furnished with bed linens and towels. Daily housekeeping is provided. The dorms also provide free wireless Internet access with a UVA access code, which we will provide you upon conference registration.

Dormitory check-in will take place in the Tucker Lounge in Brown College from 2-7pm on Wednesday, July 17th. The GPS Address for Tucker Lounge is 62 Newcomb Road South, Charlottesville, VA 22904.

Any guest arriving outside of the check-in hours on Wednesday must go to the office of Conference Services in the Page House between the hours of 8am – 8pm.  Outside of regular office hours, please call Conferences Services and their On-Call team will be dispatched to assist you.  Conference Services main desk number:  434-924-4479.

Check-out will occur between the hours of 8-11 am on Saturday, July 20th and from 8-11 am on Sunday, July 21st.  If you are unable to check-out during these scheduled times, you may drop your key at the box outside of the Page House located on McCormick Rd and Bonnycastle Drive between the hours of 8 am and 8 pm. The key drop box is located outside of the office door in the little parking lot to the left as soon as you turn onto Bonnycastle Drive.  There is a sign by the door with an arrow pointing to the drop box.

Parking permits for Culbreth Theatre Garage near Central Grounds are $15 and are valid for the duration of the conference.
