My name is Matthew Street. I have the luxury of teaching at Spanish at the University of Virginia, where I work as a lecturer in the Spanish, Italian, and Portuguese Department. Some of my duties include working as preceptor of Accelerated Beginning Spanish, serving as faculty advisor of Chapter Zeta Zeta of Sigma Delta Pi (National Spanish Honor Society), coordinating a Spanish film series, participating with the Spanish Theater Group, working with the Foreign Language e-Porfolio Grant Team, and collaborating with the interdiscplinary Active Learning Group. I attended the University of Louisiana-Monroe (2011) for my bachelor’s degree in Spanish Literatures and Cultures and the Univerisity of South Carolina (2013) for my master’s degree in Spanish Literatures and Cultures. Additionally, I received a TESOL (Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages) from the Interantional TEFL Academy in Heredia, Costa Rica (2013).
