Visit to well-plugging site

Prof. Peterson and Fangwei visited well-plugging activity in Pennsylvania. They were accompanied by Prof. Andres Clarens. Plugging of wells is extremely important with regard to avoiding legacy methane emissions. In Pennsylvania, plugging started in 1989 with over ~25,000 wells plugged so far. However, it is noted by professionals that several more are not yet located, where there is significant potential for GHG reduction.
