Bric-a-brac-o-mania is a site dedicated to research finds in nineteenth-century French literature, history, and culture. We welcome pieces by scholars and other lovers of learning, written to be accessible to all. We also welcome pieces that discuss using these scholarly finds as teaching tools. Guidelines for submission:

  • Posts should be 800-1200 words
  • Please include at least one image, but no more than 5. All images should either be in the public domain or include permission information. Please provide any captions you wish to include.
  • Brief bio (1-3 sentences), including your name, title, and affiliation, and highlighting recent work, work in progress, or work related to your post.
  • Optional author photo
  • Please let us know if your piece is meant for the research blog or for our “In the Classroom” series
