Shape Note Workshop at the Frontier Culture Museum has been cancelled.

The Workshop that was take place 4/21 has been cancelled.

There is going to be a Shape Note Singing workshop at the Museum of Frontier Culture in Staunton, VA this Saturday.

Mark your calendars for Saturday, April 21 at noon. As a part of their Wool Days agricultural event, which will include lots of awesome old timey things, Frontier Culture Museum near Staunton is hosting a shape note workshop, led by John del Re and Kelly Macklin. It is geared toward interested beginners, with a focus on the Civil War era, and all are encouraged to come and round out the sound. The sing will be in an original farm house from the 1820s, so what better way to get back to the roots of shape noting?
